While attending Treasure You, I met the wonderful Cheryl “Action” Jackson, we had so many similar stories; we couldn’t even believe it!  I was telling her about how I wanted to go to Oprah’s Life Class in Houston and how I met Oprah years ago, I mentioned Oprah’s security’s name and I said it was 8 years ago when he got me this picture with Oprah, she then runs over to her phone and shows me a text from him and says is this who you are talking about, I was like yes!!

Cheryl then says I am going to add you to my list; you are going to Oprah’s Life Class next week! I was like OMG Yay!! FAVOR!!!

Oprah also follows Cheryl on twitter, she is a dynamic Woman of God. Cheryl runs Minnie’s Food Pantry in Plano Texas, check out the website and support a family for the holidays www.minniesfoodpantry.org

While attending Oprah’s Life Class, Pastor Rick Warren was her guest. It was on fire!!

Some of the take-aways I got were:

• If you live for the approval of others, you will die by their rejection- Rick Warren
• Live for ONE Audience- Rick Warren
• People need intimacy & fear vulnerability, choose to move against your fear- Rick Warren
• Successful people are miserable when they are living for themselves, until you learn to give away your life you will never know what it is like to live
• Oprah said she has met a lot of famous people and wealthy people (people trying to hold on to and maintain what they have) but very few powerful people, because you are not powerful until you give yourself away.
• Jesus didn’t come to give us a religion; He came to give us a relationship.

My Favorite On Set Memory!

Whitney Houston sang “His Eye is on the Sparrow” in the movie Sparkle. When filming you have to do multiple takes of one scene, so she had to keep singing the song over and over. The first time she sang the song a few tears fell from people’s faces, the second time a few more tears, by the third time, the presence of the Lord had filled the atmosphere so great, everywhere you looked people had tears and then Whitney finished singing and was rejoicing in the Spirit. It was so beautiful, someone even came up to me and said I don’t know why I’m crying but I am, I said, ‘Honey that’s called the Holy Ghost.’

I was blessed to have the experience of working with Whitney Houston, and even more blessed to experience her at such a wonderful time in her life. She was such a joy to work with. I had heard from many people that she was great to work with but to experience it myself, was priceless. Whitney’s smile could brighten your day. Her presence was regal and angelic, while still being extremely down to earth. I am more than grateful to have these beautiful memories.

Hi Guys!

I had the privilege of going to London for vacation with my great friend and Soror Keshia Knight Pulliam. We literally had a blast; we saw great sites and monuments. We had the pleasure of going to the Olympic Games!!! We went to Tennis at Wimbledon Centre Court and we also went to Men’s Basketball. The trip was priceless! We visited the movie set of Fast & Furious 6. There was plenty of great food, great people and great fellowship!

I am so blessed to have had this wonderful experience! I pray and hope that everyone is enjoying their summer!
