Hi Everyone,
I am being asked to discuss a special event that I attended that I really enjoyed. When I saw this request it took me down memory lane, one of my favorite events, is actually one that I planned. I am not a big partier and that maybe due to the fact that I plan events professional, but let me not underestimate myself too much, I do know how to celebrate! All the events I have planned hold a special place in my heart, but there is one that stands out. It’s Lil Wayne’s 25th Birthday Party, we had it on a yacht in Miami, the theme was Harlem Renaissance and all guests were requested to wear black and white.

There was a red carpet at the event so some of the public relations materials that were used include a press release, media advisory, and a tip sheet. Something that I took from this event that I apply to all events including my event coming up is to keep the theme consistent throughout the event.
To paint you a picture, guest arrived in Rolls Royce Phantoms and Mercedes Maybachs. As they approached the valet they were greeted by 1930s dressed female models (casting by Ethnicity Models), they had on corsettes, satin gloves, fish nets, long stem cigarettes, and feather head pieces. As you walked the red carpet and entered the yacht, you saw casino gambling with professional dealers, there was a cigar roller rolling cigars for the guys, models throughout the yacht, passing auderves by the wait staff, it was a night to remember! Of course there was a champagne toast by Birdman, Rick Ross, and T.I. for Mr. Carter, the Birthday Boy! DJ Khaled was the dj, so it was a night to party! I can’t leave out the memorable cake, a Silver Rolls Royce Phantom, the photograph made it to the pages of many media outlets.
What I loved most was that all the celebrities could walk around and not be hounded, it was an invitation only party, so there was no VIP, everyone could walk on all levels of the yacht freely. When Diddy told me it was a nice event that made my night all the more special because he knows how to throw a party! I told someone I had never been to a “party” until I had attended a Diddy Party, anything I had attended before must have been a “gathering”….lol.
Every Blessing!
